Warm Up Cleveland

Craft
Warm Up Cleveland at the Cleveland Public Library collects hand made items to help neighbors in need. Knit, crochet, sew, or weave: hats, mittens, cowls, socks, scarves, blankets, etc. & bring them to the Faire. New, purchased items are welcome, too!

What inspired you to make this project?
Warm Up Cleveland was started to honor a former Cleveland Public Library staff member who died in March 2010. By the end of 2010, a group of library staff had knitted and crocheted 250+ items for charity. Since 2011, the project has been open to the public and a total of more than 9,500 items have been donated to help neighbors in need. All items are donated to local charity organizations. Drop off items at Maker Faire or at any Cleveland Public Library location (year-round.)
