The Cleveland Game Developers (CGD) is an open group of artists, developers, designers and musicians. We welcome everyone of any skill level interested in creating games or discussing them. We offer our members a regular monthly meeting as well as presentations, workshops and game jam events. We also abide by a Social Code and Anti-Harassment Policy that promote group collaboration, respect and inclusion.
Cleveland’s Mobile FabLab
The Mobile Fab Lab is one of MC2 STEM High School‘s four Fab Labs. The Mobile Fab Lab is a 28-foot long trailer full of MakerEd and Fabrication tools including 3D printers, laser cutters, a vinyl cutter, a ShopBot and electronics equipment. The goal of the MFL is to introduce students to learning through fabrication and opening their eyes to technologies and possible careers they would not normally come across in a traditional classroom.
Makers Alliance – Cleveland’s Makerspace
The Makers’ Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2009 with the mission of helping the Makers of Greater Cleveland in their various endeavors. We provide a physical space, access to tools and resources, and shared knowledge for people with interests in science, technology and art.
Teaching people how to code with a focus on diversity and inclusion. WeCan{Code}IT offers free coding events and meetups in the Cleveland area as well as coding bootcamps. They focus on increasing diversity in coding and opening up career opportunities for women, African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans.
