Rebecca Oet

Rebecca Oet is a junior at Hathaway Brown School. She is an intern at NASA and works with Melissa Kazazic on a project for the gestural and neural control of a robot. Rebecca is a beginner with Python but has some basic experience with Java. She participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition on team 2399, the Fighting Unicorns. In her free time, she likes to write poetry and draw.

Herb Schilling is a computer scientist at NASA’s John H. Glenn Research Center. He works in the Office of the Chief Information Officer as the team lead for the Scientific Applications and Visualization Team. Primarily, Herb does scientific software development on projects for researchers and engineers at the Center.

What inspired you to make this project?
We were given the idea by someone in a different lab at NASA. After we got the original idea, it changed and developed as we worked on the project, resulting in what we have now.
