icePIC: PIC-based development platform

Louis Stokes Wing, Lower Level Electronics
The icePIC is an open-source, PIC-based development board created to bring the convenience & simplicity of Arduino to PIC microcontrollers. Loaded with on-board features, it's a great introduction to PICs. Stop by to play with some fresh prototypes!

What inspired you to make this project?
I wanted to gain practice using PICs and writing code for them but got tired of breadboarding hassles. After seeing the cost and bulk of most pre-existing PIC development boards, I decided it would be a fun design project to make a simple PIC development board in the likeness of Arduino with lots of on-board interactive goodies to make it fun and simple to prototype with for both beginners and more advanced users.
